Leagues have always been part of golf, as long as can be remembered. As groups of golfers who play together on a regular basis they are one of the pillars of the industry. Despite this fact and as a matter of history, golf leagues have generally been ignored and left to their own devices. Not anymore.
The Golf League Championship is a Tournament Series like no other. The mission of the GLC Team, which includes Rick Smith, Leading Golf Organizations (including PGA Sections and Golf Course Owners Associations), Handicomp, and the International Golf League Federation (as a standards organization), is to provide a League Tournament Series where 2-person team league winners play against each other to determine State/Regional League Champions, and in the future to determine National and International Champions. All the while, the GLC is mindful to promote the one thing that is basic to all leagues; that “Golf is Fun”.
